Okay, where to begin with this. Well, a friend of mind actually requested I do a fanart of the scene where Rinoa's helmet breaks in space, when Squall is lost in the time compression at the end of the game, so I decided hey what the hell! But I didn't want to draw Rinoa by herself. I wanted to add Squall in with that. Anyway, this was my first time doing realism. I actually did a completely different coloring style. I worked on this pretty much all day since I had the day to myself and had nothing else to do. Anyway, here it is folks, Squall and Rinoa at the end of the game! ^_^ I hope you guys like this! I"m super pleased with how my first time at realism turned out.
That's some very exceptional work, my dear!! I love the detail on his face! I suppose that would be the realism you are talking about? Wonderful work, hon!

Thank you very much! Yeah, I wanted to hide their faces because I thought maybe it'd add more to the image. It leaves it open to imagination on what her facial expression might at the realization that Squall's alive and holding onto her.

"Villainy wears many masks, none so dangerous as the mask of virtue..."-Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane, Sleepy Hollow 1999
Thank you very much! It was a whole new digital painting style for me, so it took a lot of work, a lot patience, etc...but I did it! And yes, that is the realism ^_^ I can only hope I'll get better with it over time.

There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
